Hates shopping! Love Beer!

These first few lines are meant to to be cute, charming and so fascinating that you will find yourself unable to resist reading the rest of my profile. Which is impossible to do in just a few words. But I AM actually cute, charming and fascinating enough for you to read the rest. You'll just have to take my word for it. ;-)

I'm a purebred Northumbrian, going through an amicable divorce and moving my life from the continent back to the North East. (That means that until the summer, I'm mostly going to be in Holland.)

I know, divorce is a horrible word. Don't hit the 'back button' just yet though. I promise I'm not carrying that baggage round with me - I'm a cheerful, laid back, easy sort of person who uses crappy experiences to move forwards. And grow wiser.

I am incredibly wise.

Included among my myriad talents is an ability to crochet useful naff things.

No, no, that's a terrible claim.. I'm sure I'm good at other things. Besides forgetting stuff and losing stuff... I'll have to ask someone for you...

...right, my mum says I'm good at whatever I try my hand at but I don't think she's telling the truth because I definitely cannot ice skate or fix my own computer.

I'm probably one of the most understanding, patient, accepting, non-judgemental, easy-going, open, rational people you'll ever come across. And I'm good making people feel relaxed around me, just by being those things. Make of that what you will. :-) But that does also tend to make me a bit too nice for my own good.

By far my greatest skill is drinking beer! I can down a pint faster than you can, a talent that has been sorely wasted over the last 15 years in Holland since they serve beer in tiny little glasses. And it's horrible beer to boot. I know, it's been hell. I don't know how I lasted 15 years either...

Crochet and beer. Dear god, I'm making myself totally irresistible aren't I? I think you're just going to have to meet me and find out for yourself. :-)

But first, of course, you have to send that all important first message. If you:

* Can spell. Well, mostly, anyway...
* Enjoy the company of intelligent, thoughtful, kind people who will insult and belittle you in the most endearing way possible.
* Are liberally minded, smart though not necessarily educated, and you know that reading the Daily Mail is a very bad thing but you just can't help yourself.

Then say hello! The worst that can happen is that I'll make fun of you. ;-)
